Accounting Specialist II

Pay Rate :

$52,100 - $69,500 (USCORE)

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

• Overall, responsible for playing a lead role in a variety of non-routine clerical/accounting functions, in accordance with standard procedures.
• Main duties include preparing daily performance reports of the plant, reconciling invoices to ensure all BOLs are accounted for, maintaining freight spreadsheets, reconciling and processing Rollstock Sales and related journal entries, assisting in the Physical inventory, etc.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual responsibilities and reports.
• Payroll/timekeeping weekly processing and exception management.
• Contribute to month-end close activities and assist with internal and external audits
• Support adherence to internal controls and SOX compliance procedure
• Customer Service cross training and support.
• Other assigned accounting duties.

The Skills You Will Bring:

• 1- 3 years working experience in accounting or finance
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word, along with Adobe Acrobat. Intermediate level Excel skills
• Displays strong self-motivation and independence, consistently taking ownership of tasks and meeting deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Critical thinking, problem solving, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills.
• Open minded ability to accept and work through change
