Senior Reliability Engineer - Industrial Manufacturing

We're seeking an experienced Senior Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic maintenance team at our state-of-the-art industrial manufacturing facility. This role combines engineering expertise with strategic maintenance planning to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime in our 24/7 operation.

Position Overview

As our Senior Reliability Engineer, you'll lead initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, implement predictive maintenance strategies, and drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes. This role offers a blend of hands-on engineering and strategic planning, reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive reliability programs for critical manufacturing equipment
• Lead root cause analysis investigations and develop solutions for recurring equipment issues
• Develop and optimize preventive/predictive maintenance strategies using advanced CMMS systems
• Manage capital improvement projects from conception through implementation
• Oversee contractor relationships and ensure compliance with EHS and MSHA regulations
• Analyze equipment performance data to establish maintenance standards and improve reliability
• Design and modify facilities and equipment to enhance operational efficiency
• Manage technical documentation and maintain engineering specifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering
• 3-5 years of reliability engineering experience in heavy industrial manufacturing
• Strong background in high-voltage electrical systems and maintenance reliability
• Experience with CMMS platforms and predictive maintenance technologies
• Knowledge of MSHA regulations and mining operations preferred
• Reliability Engineer Certification preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours including partial third shift (55-hour work week)

Physical Requirements

• Capable of lifting 50 pounds and performing physical tasks regularly
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions
• Comfortable with ladder climbing, crawling, and working at heights
• Must wear appropriate PPE including steel-toed boots and safety glasses
