As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrol in Pharr, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents while patrolling a dynamic retail location. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities, offering you the opportunity to remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service. What You’ll Do

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to observe for unusual or suspicious behavior, reporting findings according to site protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance to employees, customers, and visitors as needed.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders as directed during critical situations.
  • Adhere to all Allied Universal policies, procedures, and training requirements, including those specific to armed patrol duties.

Minimum Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A current armed guard card or license is required.
  • Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
