As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent retail location, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the premises, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence to support a secure environment. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities, as you navigate the property and interact with visitors and staff. What You’ll Do

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behaviors.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and/or activities during shifts.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
  • Follow all company protocols and procedures, including those specific to armed patrol duties.

Minimum Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A current armed guard card or license is required.
  • Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
